According to the Santa Fe New Mexican (8/10/08) Letters to the Editor, a 501(c)(3) organization euphemistically called Citizens' Alliance for Responsible Energy (CARE) responsibleenergy.org, which is a pro energy industry front group according to SourceWatch.com, is promoting a documentary "The Great Global Warming Swindle" to be followed by a presentation by Robert Balling, author of the book "Satanic Gases: Clearing the Air About Global Warming" to be held at the New Mexico State Land Office.
According to the book synopsis at Amazon.com: "Is global warming just a lot of hot air? The authors of this book believe so. They expose, what they believe to be, the exaggerations misstatements and outright lies of the global warming lobby, with particular emphasis on the American political scene." Is this appropriate?
