We seek to preserve and protect our cultural traditions, the openness of our areas (open space), our night skies and quiet atmosphere, sustainable land and water use and other eco-friendly economic development (such as art & crafts, farming, etc.), our rural nature, the flora and fauna (vegetation and animals), and the commons.

We protect these things by interacting with County, City, State and Federal entities and influencing their policy making. We have been keenly involved in the review and improvement of the Sustainable Land Development Plan and Land Use Code.
